Equipment was neat, did have sharp edges on the lens cap. Can be dangerous for when people just don't put the lens cap on perfectly in one go

Made a rental request for a microphone half a day in advance. Was immediately called by a super friendly employee who was very thoughtful and asked good questions. They did not have the product in Capelle, but they did have it in Rotterdam. He immediately arranged everything for the rental. Absolutely great.

As a very occasional camera user, I was helped well and quickly along the way by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was able to pick up and return the camera at the desired time without any hassle. I am completely satisfied.
What a mess. The first time, something went wrong with our reservation. Annoying, that could have been with us, so forward: that's possible. The same evening we made a new reservation for the next morning because we did need the equipment. Then in the morning we receive an email (when we are already on our way to pick it up) that the reserved material is not available and if we want to contact them by phone. So once at the store we are told that the reserved is not there. We reserved 2 cameras, extra batteries and 2 extra lenses. We were given: 1 camera (one that was as expensive as the original 2 cameras combined) one lens and the extra batteries. Pretty galling when you actually just need 2 cameras that day and you're also standing in the store the night before for the heck of it.
To make matters worse, the whole thing only worked halfway. The camera was constantly overheating. We could use the camera for 30 minutes at most before it turned itself off. The batteries were constantly draining: all in all, just unusable.
Then when you are in the store for returns they tell you to call to complain. Then you hang on the line for half an hour before you get to speak to someone and then you hear: "Well, that is a known problem with this camera, too bad madam! We will contact you within 4 weeks to see what we can do."
Um, sorry? What a ridiculously bad service, what a ridiculously bad experience. Really, too bizarre for words. Not a hair on my head thinking of working with you guys again. I would like a full refund, because I am not going to pay for this.
Rented a camera and lens for the first time. Registration was easy and quick response and communication from Budgetcam was pleasant. Pickup and return went very quickly and smoothly. Worth repeating!

From June 24 to 26, 2023 rented a Nikkor Z 100-400 lens. In principle, I am interested in purchasing this lens, but just like with buying another car: Based on a lap around the church, I cannot make an informed decision. Meanwhile, a new lens has also been announced (Z 180-600) that better suits my needs, so renting is now better than buying.
Renting from Budgetcam is going super! Had to supply some more info the first x, but 'accepted' as a renter, so now it's easier.
Great lens! Received and returned in absolute new condition. Both times super received! Friendly, interested, take their time. Next time again!

Now rented equipment for the second time. Perfectly arranged. Very reasonably priced. Friendly staff. When I have another photo job and need to arrange equipment, I know where to go.
All in all another reasonable experience. It is a pity that the products on the website are not always available and/or it is easy to see if they are available. On the other hand, the planning thinks along well in solutions with alternative products incl. Discount. Unfortunately, the initial budget was exceeded. That is a bit of a disappointment. In the end 7/10
Competent, nuanced advice in the store in Ghent and elsewhere, where you as a customer have the choice (e.g. about tripods.) Customized and to-the-point. Smooth booking, and collection and delivery of rental equipment. Top
Location in town not ideal but otherwise pick up and drop off easy. Rented lens in good condition. 100-400mm helped with photographing historic race cars.
Heavy to lug around all day though.
