The Nikon AF-S Micro 105mm f/2.8G VR is a macro lens with a focal length of 105mm and a minimum focusing distance of 0.314m. It is thus perfect for macro photography and portraits. 

The lens is equipped with IS as well as VRII (Vibration Reduction II). It also has The Nikon Silent Wave Motor focus, which is very precise and makes little noise. The aperture with 9 blades gives a nice natural background sharpness. 

The lens has a maximum aperture of 2.8 and is made of 14 elements in 12 groups, including ED glass and lens elements with Nano Crystal Coat to avoid chromatic aberrations.
