Unfortunately not the lens that we had asked for, but we received a very nice one in consultation. There is good thinking and the telephone contact was also nice.
Rented a super nice lens, rented on Saturday and returned on Monday and only have to pay for one day because they are closed on Sunday. Super nice company and neatly arranged, will definitely do this more often!

Top arranged. Equipment reserved and paid for in advance. Was neatly ready for collection. No hassle with signing contracts, etc., just take it with you. Even before you are back in the car you have an email in your mailbox that the equipment has been picked up. The same applies to return. Arranged like this and still on the stairs you have a message in your mailbox. The lens I rented looked great, like new. Neatly packed in a bag.

Renting a lens at Budgetcam for the first time. It took a while before I answered all of Budgetcam's questions and wishes. The questions that Budgetcam had asked were comprehensive, which is logical because you don't rent an expensive lens to everyone. After that it went easy. Paid the rent by credit card and the lens is ready for me. Returns went much faster, handing in signs and your deposit was immediately disrupted. In the beginning I checked what Budgetcam wanted, but then it went like a rocket. Top products, top service

This was the first time that I rented a camera and accessories at Budgetcam. I already have a camera myself, but I needed an extra camera for a day, so this service offered the solution. The staff here in Arnhem had advised me well what would best suit what I already had at home. Then on the day itself, I could take everything with me and hand it in at the end of the day.
Rented for the first time at budgetcam and it was a very nice experience. Because of the 'weekend deal' I paid for 1 day, but I could use the camera and lens for practically three days, which was of course a nice bonus. There was also a student discount, which made a big difference for me. What I appreciated was that there was an extra battery and two SD cards, so I actually didn't have to own anything. I would recommend budgetcam to everyone and will certainly rent here more often in the future!

Again I had a lot of fun with my rented lens. When I was too late to return to the Utrecht location due to traffic jams, it was not difficult, I just wanted to touch on it.
Just rented a Nikon D500 for a week. Got 2 memory cards with card readers and 2 batteries with a charger. So complete and had no problems. Unfortunately, the sensor and mirror were dirty and the firmware was not up to date. Attention points for Budgetcam.
Super fast service! Equipment was a bit rickety now and then, you could tell it had been used many times. But everything continued to function properly.
What strikes and pleases me is the ease with which an account can be created and an order can be placed. What impresses me is the customer focus, which is evident both from the easy online ordering process and from the face to face contact at the counter. I also like to experience that there are various email contact moments from which it appears that the equipment has been ordered, picked up and returned. The entire communication process is watertight and professional.

The Canon eos R. Nice deep body, and buttons in all the right places. Iso button next to the shutter button. Top spot. The fashion dial, very good idea. The top dial is the thing that Canon has placed perfectly. Nobody wants the dial like Nikon and Sony under the shutter button. Canon has made all buttons the most ergonomic of all cameras. I wouldn't rent the camera for wedding events myself. The auto focus is not yet fast enough to photograph a wedding with it. In low light and low contrast (such as dark gray or beige surfaces), the camera even has trouble finding the focus at all. Another aspect is the inconsistency with the white balance. With the canon 27-70, it assumes a different value for the 24mm side than for the 70mm. Unless you shoot RAW, this is not a problem. But in jpg it is. It was also difficult to change the focus points. There is no joystick. This must be done via the touchscreen. But. You just have to know how to activate it. And that you don't go over it with your nose. The slide touchbar, with your thumb, is automatically switched off unless you hold down its left button for 2 seconds. You should always do this. Take into account that the canon censor has less dynamic range than Sony cameras. And the noise is higher and more visible. The final drawback is the flip out screen. Because you want to shoot from your hip, the screen must be folded out and tilted (flipped out). That can be fun, but it unconsciously tilts your camera. And you lose straightness in your horizon. The screen will be placed right next to your camera. As a result, you unconsciously tilt your horizon. Away from these negative points for improvement, very good and sharp photos come out. For portrait shoots, still life, or landscape, this is your camera. But for people who fill up the entire memory card, such as at parties, then totally not. This camera really isn't a workhorse at all. Rather, it is a fragile hungeback or notredam. It will get the job done. In Its own weird way. ;)
